the diamondbacks. VFA 102

so today my morning started off with me getting up and kinda lounging around very slowly getting ready for work. then realizing that i had wasted alot of time doing so making me rush to finish getting ready before it was to late to walk there!

so i got all done walked over, put my purse in my locker, clocked in and realized we were dead slow. great! again!

so for the first little while i had really nothing to do, i took a few tables 2 - 3 people each. then sam one of the server managers told me i needed to set up a table for 10 - 15 in my section and that the party would be there in about 10 minutes. i got it all done then finally about 30 minutes later what was supposed to be 10 - 15 came. turns out it was actually 20!

after rushing around for what seemed like forever, feeling very hot in there, and trying to not get the other servers and cooks mad at me for having such a big table and taking the last bit of tea and taking forever to get all my food out i got them all taken care of. it seems like by the time i got the last pilot his food that i was already clearing the others away! plus refilling the few diet pepsis and the pink lemonaide on top of 6 pitchers of tea.

then the fun part of spliting the check a million and two ways and figuring out whos goes where and getting the cash checks cashed out and the USAA and NFCU debit cards run though came along.

but do you wanna know what the best of all part of this exciting table 16 full of diamondback pilots was? the SIXTY dollar tip i got! yeah thats right.

and to make it even better...

by the time they all left and i was ready to clear their table lisa called and needed me to go to the officers club to help set up for the CSP peoples conferance. so that meant i didnt even have time to clear my table! haha.

the only down falls. i had made an appoiment to go donate platelets at the central california blood center and had to change it to tomorrow before work. (prolly not a good idea) and the fact that my feet are still killing me from working for over 6 hours. and yes i know what you are thinking "oh well i worked well over six hours today thats nothing" trust me six hours is ALOT if you are doing the job we do. sitting at a desk or working at a store is just so much different!

anyways thats just a day in my life.
